Greeting is term that refer to as the well wishes you to your loved ones either they are friends, parents, siblings, couch, faience, boyfriend or girlfriend. Nowadays greeting cards are very famous and are considered most affectionate way of expression of your feelings and sentiments, Greeting cards are mainly of four types standard cards which are made of card sheets post cards photo greeting cards which have photographs printed on them of any historic building or beautiful scenery of nature musical card which have some musical song greetings and the most famous are today are the electronic cards or e-cards they are animated cards used for wishing different occasion like Charismas, Easter, Halloween, Eid, Dewali, valentine’s day, mother’s day, father’s day, New year etc. History of these greeting cards began same ancient Chinese age who used to wish new year with these greeting cards. Germans were the first to print a greeting card in late 1400’s. As the time changes trends in greetings evolved and by 1850 the greetings began to be more expensive when handmade craft and designed cards were in vogue. In the early 1900’s the greeting cards took the shape of a proper industry and industrial scale printing of the greeting cards began. In mid 1900’s studios cards were printed with humorous pictures and concepts on the cards. In 1970’s greeting cards were produced with recycled paper so as to make them environment friendly as well these recycled cards were very famous till 1990’s. After the 1990 ‘s and millennium 2000 internet industry revolved every field of life as well as the greeting cards industry too. Today you can easily find a hundreds of cards free to send on various occasions but still post cards or traditional cards have their unique importance.
